POLICE BREAK UP CROWD VIEWING DAVID GUETTA CONCERT

MIAMI (AP) - Miami police say David Guetta’s (GET’-ahs) rooftop concert on Saturday for people stuck inside during the coronavirus outbreak still resulted in people violating social distancing guidelines. The Miami Herald reports police broke up a crowd of about 200 watching from the sidewalk in downtown Miami. Florida has prohibited gatherings of more than 10 people during the pandemic. No arrests were made. Some residents were able to watch from their balconies, and the charity concert drew about 9 million views online.

BRAD PAISLEY: “NO I IN BEER” WAS TWO YEARS IN THE MAKING

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Brad Paisley had the framework of his song “No I In Beer” two years ago, including the now-appropriate line, “We’re all in this together.” Paisley says he and co-writer Kelley Lovelace wrote a lot of the song in 2018. Paisley says when the coronavirus pandemic hit and everyone kept saying, “We’re all in this together,” the song took on a different meaning. He says it turned into a “rallying cry” and a “fight song.” Since Paisley is unable to tour because of the outbreak, he’s taken up invitations to surprise people on their online meetings. So far he’s turned up at a teacher’s meeting, a gathering of medical personnel, and a guy’s 21st birthday party where friends were playing beer pong online.

STEVEN VAN ZANDT NEARLY PLAYED TONY SOPRANO

NEW YORK (AP) - Had things turned out differently, it would have been E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt who played Tony Soprano in “The Sopranos.” Van Zandt was one of three finalists for the role, according to actor Michael Imperioli, who hosts the podcast “Talking Sopranos” with fellow actor Steve Schirripa (shi-RIP’-ah). Imperioli says while James Gandolfini got the part, show creator David Chase wrote the character of Silvio for Van Zandt. Imperioli says there was no Silvio in the original script. He says the third actor was Michael Rispoli, who played Jackie Aprile (ah-PREEL’) Senior.
