KID ROCK WILL FIGHT RESTAURANT FINE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Kid Rock’s attorney promises to fight a citation given to Rock’s Nashville restaurant for failing to comply with coronavirus public health orders. Attorney Brian Lewis says the citation was “selective prosecution.” He says it’s unfair that Mayor John Cooper encourages “thousands of people to march with him in violation of his own phases, but he wants to hold the Nashville business community hostage.” News outlets report Metro Public Health Department Director Michael Caldwell visited Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk on Saturday after getting a complaint. The restaurant was fined “for serving people that were seated at the bar and for not observing proper social distancing inside the establishment.” Thirteen other Nashville businesses also were cited.
AJR END CHILDHOOD WITH “BANG!”
NEW YORK (AP) - You grow up -- then what? That’s what the AJR song “Bang!” is about. Keyboardist Ryan Met says it was inspired by trying to do what their parents do, like “pay taxes and eat healthy and keep superfoods in your fridge.” Met says it’s about knowing that adulthood is coming, so they’ll go out with a bang. He’s excited for the time when they can finally perform that song live, because he can picture the audience singing the “Bang! Bang! Bang!” part.
