CNN CREW ARRESTED AT PROTEST
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has apologized to CNN for the arrest of a network crew covering the violent protests in Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd. Correspondent Omar Jimenez and two colleagues were handcuffed and led away by the Minnesota State Patrol while reporting live on the network Friday morning. Walz said that CNN chief executive Jeff Zucker had called him demanding to know why the crew had been detained. The crew was released within an hour. Walz said he took full responsibility and that keeping journalists safe as they cover the story is a top priority. The National Association of Black Journalists and others condemned the arrests.
DAVID GUETTA PREPARES FOR ANOTHER SECRET CONCERT
NEW YORK (AP) - David Guetta (GET’-ah) never thought he’d be so happy to see people dancing at home. Last month, Guetta performed a secret concert in front of people on balconies at a housing complex in Miami to raise money for coronavirus relief. He streamed the concert online, and he says he “could see everybody having their own little parties.” He says it was so cool for people to send him messages and he would respond. Guetta will perform another concert at an undisclosed location in New York tomorrow and stream it to raise more funds for coronavirus relief.

TRACEE ELLIS ROSS STARS AS SINGER IN “HIGH NOTE”
LOS ANGELES (AP) - You’d think when your mom is Diana Ross that releasing a single would not be a big deal. It’s quite the opposite for Tracee Ellis Ross. Two of the songs from the soundtrack of her new movie, ‘High Note,’ have been released as singles: ‘Love Myself’ and ‘Stop For A Minute.’ Ross says it’s “ridiculous” and “insane” to think someone can go to iTunes and find her name. Ross plays a famous musician in “High Note” who wants to record new music, but her management wants her to stick to the hits. “High Note” is out today for video-on-demand.
