LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — A beach at a lake in the South Carolina Midlands is reopening for the first time in more than a year.

Lake Murray Dam Park Site 1 will open to visitors Monday for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic started in spring 2020, said Dominion Energy, which runs the dam and the recreation area in Lexington County.

The park will be limited to 100 vehicles because of health guidelines and will remain open through Labor Day, Dominion Energy said in a statement.

There is a $5 fee to park and season passes can be bought for $50, the utility said.
