What information do we collect?
The News Licensing Group (NLG) is a means for AP and other participants in the NLG to determine where and when their content is accessed and to police unapproved dissemination of such content. You may read about NLG data collection policies and your privacy, and opt-out of NLG data collection here.
The AP Hosted Service may use services provided by third parties, including, without limitation, Webtrends ("Webtrends"), Quantcast ("Quantcast"), Omniture ("Omniture"), 24/7 Real Media, Inc. ("24/7"), Chartbeat (“Chartbeat”), comScore ("Comscore"), and Google Analytics (“Google”) to collect non-personally identifiable information on pages that contain AP's news content. AP is not responsible for any actions or policies of any third-party service providers, including, without limitation, Webtrends, Quantcast, Omniture, 24/7, Chartbeat and/or Google. This information collected by third-party service providers is used by AP and is disclosed to AP's advertising partners so that they can determine the efficacy of their campaigns. None of the information collected or reported to our advertising partners identifies you.
The AP utilizes Google Analytics Advertising Features to collect Demographics and Interests Data (the “Data”) to ensure you receive the best experience on our websites. The Data may include information regarding the age and gender of users, along with the interests they express in their online travel and purchasing activities. The Data comes from third-party DoubleClick cookies. When this cookie is present, Analytics collects any demographic and interest information available in the cookie. The Data is also shared with Google for benchmarking purposes.
