Aksel Lund Svindal and Kjetil Jansrud, who both have career Olympic gold medals in the super-G event, are strong contenders on a near-perfect day for downhill.
At the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg was course-side to watch Jansrud win the super-G title in an event Norway dominates.
